Over the past 24 hours, images and details of a forthcoming Sony cinema camera have leaked, showing off what appears to be a compact cinema camera called the FX3 (ILME-FX3).
Little information is available at this time. All we know so far is what the camera will look like based on what appears to be a leaked press photo from Nokishita and another hands-on image that shows the rear of the camera. The device has also been registered with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), confirming the name seen on the camera.
Sony Alpha Rumors is reporting a €3,795 (4,600) price tag and a CFexpress Type A card slot on board. Original rumors suggested 8K recording, but Sony Alpha Rumor’s latest report suggests it will top out at 4K at 120 frames per second (fps). These are yet to be confirmed, however.
We have no further information at this time about the camera shown in the images.
