Laowa 4mm F2.8 Fisheye

As a refresher, the Laowa 4mm F2.8 Fisheye lens is constructed of seven elements in six groups, with a seven-blade aperture diaphragm and aperture range from F2.8 through F16. It offers a minimum focusing distance of 80mm (3.15”), measures 25.5mm (1”) diameter by 45.2mm (1.78”) long and weighs 135g (4.76oz). The new L mount version will start shipping in March for $199.

9mm F2.8 Zero-D

The Laowa 9mm F2.8 Zero-D lens is constructed of 15 elements in 10 groups, including three extra-low-dispersion elements and a ‘Frog Eye Coating’ (FEC) designed to repel water and dirt from the front element. Other features include a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, a 12cm (4.7”) minimum focusing distance and a 49mm front filter thread. The lens measures 60mm (2.4”) in diameter, 53mm (2”) long and weighs 215g (7.58oz). The new L mount version will ship in March for $499.

24mm F14 2x Macro Probe

Moving onto the macros, the 24mm F14 2x Macro Probe lens features a whopping 27 elements in 19 groups, including multiple extra-low-dispersion and ‘prism’ elements. Other features include a seven-blade aperture diaphragm, an aperture range from F14 through F40, and a 2:1 maximum magnification ratio. The lens measures 38mm (1.5”) diameter by 408mm (16”) long and weighs 474g (1lb). The new L mount version will ship in March for $1,499.

25mm F2.8 2.5–5x Ultra Macro

Last up is the 25mm F2.8 2.5–5x Ultra Macro lens, which is constructed of eight elements in six groups. It features an eight-blade aperture diaphragm and has a varying minimum focusing distance of 17.3mm (.68”) (at 5x magnification) to 23.4mm (0.92”) at 2.5x magnification). The lens measures 65mm in diameter with varying length and weighs 400g (14oz). The new L mount version of the lens will ship in March for $399.
